White roots are the primary mode through which plants absorb water and nutrients from the soil. An inactive root system can lead to several problems in the plant. Some of which are stunted growth, flower or fruit dropping while also increasing the susceptibility to disease, pest and viral infections. The white roots of a plant typically have a life of between 25-28 days in the soil. In order to keep an active root system, it is therefore essential to use a good quality humic and fulvic acid combination (4:1 ratio) every month.
Use of a good humic acid product not only increases the white roots, but also improves the soil physical, chemical and biological properties. It also helps the plant fight abiotic stresses by ensuring nutrient and water balance in the plant.
