The Union Cabinet has approved a subsidy of ₹37,216.15 crore under the nutrient-based subsidy scheme for fertilizers during the next kharif season against ₹24,474.53 crore allocated in the 2024-25 rabi season. The rise is mainly on account of the hike in global rates of phosphatic fertilisers.
